Wine Optional OR Whine Optional?

Wine Optional or Whine Optional?  When it comes to preparing dinner, it depends on the day.  Some days, meal options just come to me.  I walk into the kitchen, open my cupboards and think, “Ooh! I could make this and we could have that wine!”  Other days, I walk into my kitchen and quite honestly, the little voices in my head scream, “RUN”!!! As the expecting mother of a two and half year old and an eighteen month old, my days are packed.  Cooking can sometimes turn into a marathon of screaming, flying food and mass chaos.  My daughter spends most of my meal prep time trying to play London Bridge with my legs and my son usually insists on “helping” me.  And while he makes a fabulous sous chef, it does add to the general mayhem.

But, it is still my goal to deliver a warm, delicious and aesthetically-pleasing meal – most nights.  It is my hope to take my almost 14 years experience in the Food & Beverage industry and help you do the same.  Some of my recipes have been handed down from my family.  Some I have created over the years.  Some I have gleaned from good friends.  And some came to me in my sleep…however, I don’t vouch for those, but will include a few just for kicks ;)

So people, let’s “Go to the mattresses…”
